Portugal Golden Visa

The Portugal Golden Visa is a residency program offered by the Portuguese government that allows non-European citizens to obtain a residency permit in Portugal by making a qualifying investment in the country. The investment options for the Portugal Golden Visa program include purchasing real estate with a minimum value of €500,000. One can also invest €280,000 or €350,000 in hotel rehabilitation projects.

  • Investment: Investment must be held for a minimum of 5 years
  • Health insurance: Obtain a health insurance policy that covers the applicant and their dependents for the entire period of their stay in Portugal.
  • Criminal record certificate: Obtain a criminal record certificate from the country of origin and any other country where the applicant has resided for more than 6 months in the last 5 years.
  • Residency: Maintain physical residency in Portugal for a minimum of 7 days in the first year and 14 days in each subsequent 2-year period.

On an average, it take about a year for approval of the application(subject to change).
